Dr. Kelly Lathrop was born in Northern California and completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Dr. Lathrop continued her education at Lincoln University in Canterbury, New Zealand, and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. She joined our team in 1999.
Her special interests are surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Lathrop is also involved with WorldVets, a non-profit organization that provides veterinary aid to developing countries and veterinary disaster relief worldwide.
Outside of work, Dr. Lathrop enjoys many sport activities including bicycle racing and kayaking. She shares her home with two Labrador Retrievers, Stanley, and Ernie.
