We’re Northern Kane County Chamber’s 2021 Business of the Year!

We’re Northern Kane County Chamber’s 2021 Business of the Year!

As a business that has provided care for pets in Dundee, Elgin, Algonquin, and neighboring cities & towns for over 60 years, we know that an important part of being a small business is supporting our fellow local businesses and non-profits. Giving back to our communities is so important, whether it be ordering from local restaurants, collecting food for our local food pantries, or volunteering to pick up trash along our local highways & roads.

And although we don’t do it for the fame or recognition, we were both surprised and honored to have been nominated for the Northern Kane County Chamber “2021 Business of the Year” in September. Along with Northwestern Medicine, Bamboozels, and Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, we were nominated for the award reflecting a “…business that has gone above and beyond supporting our community and chamber over the past year.” We were fortunate enough to remain open throughout Covid in both 2020 and 2021 and were able to support other local businesses by donating local restaurant gift cards to Chamber events including their February 2021 “We Love Local” month-long event and purchasing & stuffing stocking items for local kids by participating in Sandy’s Stockings, one of District 300 Food Pantry‘s holiday donation drives. Most recently, we had the opportunity to sign on as a sponsor for the Carpentersville Police‘s new therapy K-9, Walter (check out his Instagram page here), who will be supporting area community members and first responders dealing with trauma and during disasters & other difficult times.

And on October 2, we were fortunate enough to have been chosen by our community and fellow chamber members as the “2021 Business of the Year”! Congratulations to the other Northern Kane County Chamber 2021 Award winners, including:

It’s truly a privilege to not only care for and serve our local pet patients and owners but also to be able to give back to our fellow community members and businesses. We couldn’t do it without our staff and clients who have supported us and our business since 1958- thank you for helping us be able to support our communities!
