Dr. Kristi Kindra grew up in Elgin, Illinois and her family pets were cared for at Dundee Animal Hospital. While earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois, she worked as a veterinary technician at Dundee Animal Hospital during school breaks. She joined Dundee Animal Hospital’s emergency staff in 2018 after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Kindra has special interests in emergency medicine and surgery. Being able to help clients and their pets in a time of need is what makes this career rewarding for her. She understands that emergency visits can be stressful or scary and knows that clear communication is the best way to help patients and their owners.
Dr. Kindra is Fear Free Certified.
When not at work, Dr. Kindra enjoys recreational sports and activities such as playing golf, tennis, softball, going kayaking on the Fox River, and doing Orangetheory Fitness workouts. She shares her home with her husband and dog, Snickers, who she adopted from a spay/neuter program during veterinary school and couldn’t ask for a better furry friend!
