Dr. Eileen O’Brien was born in New York and moved several times in her childhood through Ohio, New York and Kentucky. Settling in Illinois, Dr. O’Brien attended the University of Illinois where she completed her undergraduate in Biology in 1992, and in 1997 obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Working as a Veterinary Technician while in school, Dr. O’Brien gained an understanding of where she wanted to focus her efforts in this field and now has special interest in general medicine, surgery, dentistry and exotics. Unfortunately, she developed allergies to rabbits and guinea pigs, so she can no longer see those animals.
She loves working at Dundee Animal Hospital thanks to our team and the amazing patients and clients she has met. Dr. O’Brien and her husband Kevin enjoy traveling, boating, reading and movies.
